January added project environments, sample tags in Data Studio and a rebuilt search. The audit log is back.

Highlights​

Sample tags​

In Data Studio, a sample can now carry any number of tags. You can filter the sample list by tag and add or remove tags in bulk. Use tags to curate a dataset: tag the samples from a particular customer or the ones the model struggles with, then filter to that set and work through it. Tags stay on a sample when it is re-imported.

Week of 5 January​

Validation​

  • Clear a hotkey: a label's keyboard shortcut can now be cleared.
  • More time formats: times such as 14.00u and 14:00u are recognised.

Interface​

  • Keyboard shortcut display: shortcuts are easier to read at a glance.
  • Sliders: numeric settings use slider controls.

Configuration​

  • Project environments: work on a project in a test environment and promote it to live when it is ready.
  • Audit log: configuration changes are recorded and viewable again.
  • Allow list: control access to a project with an explicit allow list.

Fixes​

  • Sender information appears again on .msg and .eml uploads.
  • Older Business Rules that change a value's type compare values correctly again.
  • FTP exports no longer fail.
  • Long-running tasks no longer hang.
  • Documents without an image layer display correctly.

Week of 12 January​

AI & data​

  • Import single-step projects: single-step projects can now contribute samples to Data Studio.
  • Objectives without models: define an objective before a model exists for it.
  • Documents linked to samples: move between a document in a project and its sample in Data Studio.

Import & document processing​

  • Split every N pages: a splitting rule that starts a new document every N pages, for batches with a fixed structure.

Administration & access​

  • Enterprise plan: licensing now supports the Enterprise plan.

Week of 19 January​

AI & data​

  • Page orientation on samples: samples record each page's orientation, so rotated scans are handled the same in training and prediction.
  • Label count filter: filter samples by how many labels they have, to find under-annotated samples.

Validation​

  • Business Rules in the task editor: inspect and control rules while reviewing a task.
  • Validation v2 for all project types: the newer validation engine now applies to every project type.
  • Simpler lookup configuration: lookups are simpler to configure.

Interface​

  • Bulk re-upload warning: you are warned before re-uploading a large selection.

Fixes​

  • Lookup list translations match on the correct field again.
  • Scrolling in the rule editor's mention list works again.

Week of 26 January​

AI & data​

  • Rebuilt search: search was rebuilt for more accurate and faster results.

Interface​

  • Resizable panels: resize the document and validation panes; the split is remembered.

Fixes​

  • Excel documents display correctly in the editor.
  • The Business Rules dialog opens reliably.
  • Lookup lists with empty columns no longer cause errors.
  • All .eml uploads are parsed correctly.
  • Table view now shows edits made in the side panel.
