September 2026

You can now hand bulk work to the assistant as agent jobs and run it again on a schedule. AI Studio can train extraction and classification models, and a new Filter model decides which imported documents to keep.

Highlights

Agent jobs and recurring jobs

An agent job is bulk work the assistant runs in the background across many uploads. You describe the work in chat, the assistant proposes a plan, and the job runs once you approve it. Each team has a job board that shows every job's plan, an outcome and notes per task, a retry for failed tasks, and the cost of the run. A single action asked for in chat is also recorded as a one-item job.

You can save a job as a template and run it on demand, on a schedule set in your local time, or when tasks arrive in review or have waited longer than an age you choose. Templates are versioned, and you can try a version on a test project first.

Training a model from AI Studio

You can now train extraction and classification models from AI Studio when you create a version. The new version page has three options: freeze the working copy as the next version, freeze it and train a model on it, or rebuild the working copy from the samples of earlier versions. Before a run starts, the page shows a count per label and flags rare labels. You choose a base model, and an advanced section holds settings such as epochs and batch size, prefilled from the dataset. The versions list shows whether a run is training, finished or failed.

Availability

Available to every user who can manage models.

Filter models

Filter is a new kind of model in AI Studio that decides whether to keep an imported document or filter it. It starts from instructions and a few examples, so you can use it the day you create it. When you discard a task or undo a filter, you can choose to let the model learn from that decision. You can also import a project's past tasks: completed, in-review and processing tasks count as keep, and filtered or discarded tasks count as filter. A reviewer's written instruction takes precedence over the outcome. Every filtered task records which model filtered it and how confident it was.

Week of 7 September

AI & data

  • Agent jobs: described above.
  • Recurring jobs: described above.
  • Move steps with a target folder: a move step in a job plan now has its own target folder, shown on the approval card before you accept the plan.
  • Comments and open issues in jobs: jobs now see a task's comments and open issues, so a step can skip tasks that are already reported.
  • Attachments in chat: you can paste, drop or attach up to five images or documents to a message to the assistant. Attachments stay with the conversation.
  • Page context for the assistant: the assistant now sees the page you are on, including your filters and selection, so you can refer to what is on screen.
  • Lower job costs: job runs now cost about half as much per task.

Interface

  • Presence on uploads and tasks: uploads and tasks show who else is on them, including the assistant, and refresh when someone changes them. Before the assistant changes a task you have open, it asks you and waits 30 seconds for an answer.
  • Assistant in the sidebar: open the assistant from the sidebar or with a keyboard shortcut anywhere in the product. It keeps a searchable history of your conversations.
  • Reporting a problem: the assistant can raise a support report for you, with a severity you can edit before it is sent.

Fixes

  • A job can no longer run twice on the same documents.
  • The uploads a job acted on are now listed newest first.
  • A conversation with the assistant no longer fails to continue after some replies.
  • A job's progress on the job board no longer stops updating.

Week of 14 September

AI & data

Interface

  • Task panel at the bottom: the task panel can now dock along the bottom of the screen, using a button in the panel header. The document and the validation panel then stack, with a divider you can drag.
  • Compact validation fields: a toggle in the validation toolbar shows each field on a single line, so documents with many fields need less scrolling.
  • Groups on a single row: a group no longer has its own header row. Its expand control, menu and entry count, such as "Line item (1/3)", sit on the row of its first field.
  • Table groups in the template editor: insert a group from Elements and switch it between Group and Table with the tabs on its card. A table group shows its entities as columns you can insert or remove.

Fixes

  • A business rule that replaces text no longer empties the field when the search text contains a full stop or another symbol.
  • Exporting several thousand tasks at once completes again.
  • The validation panel's subheader no longer overlaps the fields when you scroll.
  • The lowest entries in the AI Studio labels dropdown can now be reached.
  • Training a model with a slash or colon in its name no longer fails.

Week of 21 September

AI & data

Validation

  • Date range fields: a new field type holds a period, edited with a range picker in the form and the table view. A single date entered into it is read as a range covering that day.
  • API lookups: lookups against an API now run everywhere list lookups do, including after each business rule. A row a reviewer picked is remembered and sent with later lookups.
  • Removing a single translation: you can delete one stored lookup translation from the translations popover. Saved rows are found regardless of case.

Prediction & processing

  • Routing to more than one class: a project can route a document to every class that passes its threshold, with one task or forward per class. Each task exports separately. Ask your Send AI contact to enable it.

Import & document processing

  • Emails and web pages read as text: where the project's recognition engine supports it, HTML files and email bodies are now read from their text. Long figures in tables stay whole, and forwarded Outlook mails no longer start with an almost empty page.
  • Folder for fully filtered uploads: an upload where filtering removed everything can now be moved to a folder you choose. The same picker is used for duplicates.

Integrations

  • Discard reasons: a discard can carry the issues found and a message. The reason is kept on the task and sent as a new discarded-task event, which you can subscribe to in notification settings.

Interface

  • Test and live switch: the switch between a project's test and live environments now sits at the foot of the project sidebar.

Fixes

  • Lookups sent together no longer fill a field with the answer meant for another field.
  • Compact validation fields no longer show their labels inside the field box or icons that do not fit.
  • The date picker in a compact field no longer opens over its label.

Week of 28 September

Validation

  • Date reading: dates such as 30/2 Oct (a range crossing a month), 28th or 28th-30th (bare day numbers) and Wednesday 07/10 (a date after a weekday) are now read correctly.

Interface

  • Switching test and live: switching environment from a task, upload, document or folder page now opens the other environment's inbox.

Fixes

  • Recurring jobs created from chat open again, and clearing a value on a job template draft now takes effect.
  • Projects using the newest model generations no longer fail to extract.
  • Predictions from the newest models are no longer reported as unreadable.
  • Retrieval-based extraction no longer returns empty fields when the provider is briefly busy.
