Manual Import

Upload files directly through the web interface for immediate processing or review.

Upload Methods

Drag and Drop

  1. Navigate to your project's Inbox folder
  2. Drag files from your computer directly onto the upload area
  3. Files are automatically validated and uploaded

File Browser

  1. Click "Upload documents" in the Inbox toolbar
  2. Use the file browser to select documents
  3. Select multiple files using Ctrl/Cmd + click
  4. Click "Upload" to begin processing

Bulk Upload

Upload multiple files simultaneously:

  • Maximum 100 files per batch
  • Individual file size limit: 40MB
  • Page size limit: 20MB per page within a file

Supported Locations

Upload files to different folders based on your workflow:

  • Inbox - Default location for new uploads awaiting processing
  • Custom Folders - Organize uploads by type, source, or status
  • Bin - Not available for upload (deletion only)
  • Processed - Not available for upload (system-managed)

Upload Process

  1. File Validation - System checks file type and size limits
  2. Upload Creation - Files become an upload with individual tasks
  3. Task Generation - Each file becomes a separate processing task
  4. Queue Processing - Tasks enter your project's processing pipeline

File Organization

Upload Naming

Uploads receive names based on the task file name:

  • Single file uploads: Uses the file name
  • MSG/EML files: Uses the email subject line
  • Each upload is processed as an individual item

Troubleshooting

Upload Failures

Common issues and solutions:

  • File too large - Split or compress files under 40MB
  • Page too large - Reduce individual page size under 20MB
  • Unsupported format - Convert to supported file types
  • Network timeout - Try smaller files or check connection

Processing Delays

Uploads may queue during high volume periods. Monitor progress in the Inbox folder and check individual task status for detailed processing information.
