July added Excel export, a billing page, better lookup autocomplete, and connectors for APIs with their own sign-in scheme.

Highlights​

Custom authentication for connectors​

Connectors already supported bearer tokens and OAuth2. With Custom Auth Request they can also connect to APIs that expect their own authentication call. You describe that call: the URL, any query parameters or JSON body, and where the token sits in the response. Send AI caches the token and reuses it like any other credential, and shows the error message when the call fails. Connectors that need no separate authentication call no longer require an authentication URL.

Validation​

  • Checkbox editing: checkbox values can be edited during validation.
  • Lookup list form: a form for creating and configuring lookup lists.

Import & document processing​

  • Reparse a document: send a document through parsing again without re-uploading it.

Export​

  • Excel export: export data can be produced as an Excel (.xlsx) workbook.

Fixes​

  • Emails with no subject or no sender are parsed again.
  • Outbound emails display correctly in all email clients.

Week of 14 July​

Validation​

  • Smarter autocomplete: each word of your query is matched against the main column and, for multi-word queries, the description column.
  • Best-effort lookup matching: a lookup uses every context value it has and returns its best match.
  • Context sent with translations: a value is translated together with its context values, for ordinary lookup fields as well as computed fields.
  • Missing context warning: reviewers see when a lookup could not run because a context field it needs is empty.
  • Separate validation settings: validation settings have their own page, apart from the general project settings.
  • Editable percentage fields: percentage fields can be edited.

Prediction & processing​

  • Object detection models: create object detection models in the model registry and use them in projects.

Import & document processing​

  • Multi-file upload: upload several files in one action.
  • Copy a project: copy a project together with its configuration.

Fixes​

  • Tasks are no longer exported twice.
  • Storage usage is calculated correctly.
  • Connector errors show the message returned by the external system.

Prediction & processing​

  • Model selection: choose which model a step uses, including for segmentation.

Integrations​

  • Webhook subscription validation: a subscription that refers to fields the transformer does not produce is rejected when you save it.
  • Webhook settings: the webhook settings screen has been redesigned.

Interface​

  • Unsaved changes warning: leaving a form with unsaved changes asks you to confirm.
  • Hotkey tooltips: tooltips show the keyboard shortcut for an action.
  • Longer annotations: annotations can be up to 250 characters, up from 200.
  • Full project list: the project list shows all projects on one page.

Fixes​

  • Large lookup lists load faster.
  • Reparsing works on documents where it used to fail.
  • Segmentation no longer blocks a flow it should pass through.
  • Annotations on spreadsheets with empty rows line up with the text again.

Week of 28 July​

Validation​

  • Reset clears checkboxes and signatures: resetting a task also clears its checkboxes and signatures.
  • Transform errors on the task: when an export transformation fails, the reason appears as a comment on the task.

Import & document processing​

  • Specific file types preferred: a file that could be read as an archive or as a more specific format is read as the specific format.

  • Billing page: usage and billing periods are shown in the product.

Fixes​

  • Segmentation editor hotkeys work again.
  • Connectors without scopes no longer fail.
  • CSV files with certain delimiters are parsed correctly.
