September 2025

September brought API keys, connectors and lookup lists together and replaced side menus with dialogs. Extraction now annotates repeated values, and segmentation has review thresholds.

Highlights

Annotating repeated values

Until now, a value that appeared several times in a document was annotated only once. Extraction now annotates every occurrence, so repeated line items, references and dates are all marked on the document. Labels that were sometimes placed in the wrong position on a document now appear in the right place.

Segmentation thresholds

Two thresholds decide whether a segmentation result is accepted or sent for review. One is a confidence score. The other is text coverage: it compares the text inside the detected segments with the text on the whole page, and low coverage suggests a missed segment. You set both in the interface; see Segmentation.

Week of 1 September

Validation

  • Better rule generation: Business Rules are generated more reliably, including rules on grouped values.

Prediction & processing

Import & document processing

  • Name structure in anonymisation: particles such as van der are kept when a name is replaced, so Jan van Vries becomes Pim van Bruin. Names containing spaces are handled correctly.

Integrations

  • New connector form: connector configuration has a new form.
  • API key scopes: API keys can have separate scopes for uploads and tasks.

Fixes

  • Segmenting PDFs works when a split step comes before the segment step.
  • Webhooks no longer fire on failures that should not trigger them.
  • Forwarding a task to another project keeps all its data.

Week of 8 September

Import & document processing

  • Email cut-off: trimming quoted history from email bodies no longer cuts too much in some threads.

Integrations

  • Connector health checks: test a connector from the interface, including its authentication.

Interface

  • Project cards: the projects overview has a new design.
  • Percentage input: percentage fields have their own input control.

Fixes

  • Translation maps with empty values no longer cause errors.

Week of 15 September

Validation

  • Autocomplete improvements: multi-word search, better sorting and a filter.
  • Business Rules editor: the editor keeps line breaks, no longer auto-formats lists, and asks before discarding prompt changes that have not been regenerated.

Import & document processing

  • Consistent email handling: .msg and .eml files, including older Microsoft formats, are both handled as email, and their attachments are uploaded the same way.

Administration & access

  • Administration area: members, roles and usage have moved into administration.
  • Single sign-on status: the team members list shows which accounts are managed by the identity provider.

Interface

  • Integration page: API keys, connectors and lookup lists share one Integration page, with a filter on the connectors table.
  • Zoom per page: zoom applies to each page separately and is remembered between sessions.
  • Collapsible groups: groups in the validation panel can be collapsed.
  • Comments on labels: a comment can be attached to a label.

Fixes

  • Resizing a translation column no longer corrupts a lookup list.
  • Failed tasks can be discarded.
  • Autocomplete shows the value that is stored.

Week of 22 September

Validation

  • Date arithmetic in Business Rules: rules can calculate with dates.

Import & document processing

  • Larger files for OCR: OCR accepts files up to 40 MB, up from 20 MB.

Administration & access

  • Organisation structure: organisations, teams and users have been reorganised, with one invite dialog for organisations and teams.

Interface

  • Dialogs instead of side menus: every side menu has been replaced by a dialog.
  • Uploading: a new upload dialog, drag and drop into folders, and a clearer upload message.
  • Lookup Lists page: lookup lists have their own top-level page.

Fixes

  • Segmentation works reliably again.
  • Autocomplete no longer searches when the search field is empty.

Week of 29 September

AI & data

  • Data Studio: a first version of a separate place to manage the samples and annotations that train a model, starting with sample sets.

Validation

  • Groups in Business Rules: a rule can address a group of fields, and rules run in a defined order.
  • Lookup list validation by value: validating against a lookup list by value can be set per field.
  • Lookup list permission: lookup lists have their own permission, separate from team settings.

Administration & access

  • Organisation admin rights: organisation admins can see and join every team in their organisation. Only admins see the members page.
  • Pending invites: you are prompted about pending invites when you enter an organisation.

Interface

  • Project pages: project pages have been updated and the sidebar highlights the current page.
  • Bulk export deletion: deleting a bulk export asks for confirmation.

Fixes

  • Validation templates on single-step projects work again.
  • Unusual date strings pass validation.
  • Bulk exports created from a query contain the right tasks.
