August 2025

August brought the first release of Business Rules and single sign-on for organisations. Lookup lists gained new management actions.

Highlights

Business Rules

Business Rules check conditions that span several fields, such as the line total must equal quantity times unit price. You write a rule in plain language and the platform generates the query that evaluates it; the query stays visible and editable. Rules belong to a project, run in a set order during validation, and can raise an error, raise a warning or compute a value into a field. Errors and warnings show which rule produced them.

Single sign-on

An organisation can connect its own identity provider, and its users are mapped into Send AI automatically. Single sign-on users sign in through a link sent to their email address. Administrators can see the organisation's identity configuration, and the members list shows which users are managed by single sign-on and which have local accounts.

Week of 4 August

Validation

  • Full body validation: a validation pass that looks at the whole document body.
  • Date label attributes: date fields take optional attributes that help parse ambiguous formats.
  • Text anchors: annotations can be anchored to text, so they keep their place when a document is parsed again.
  • Checkboxes in validation and export: checkbox state is shown in red or green during validation and included in export data.

Import & document processing

  • Wide spreadsheets transposed: sheets with many columns are turned to read top to bottom, and more columns are supported.
  • OCR reading order: configure the order in which OCR results are read, for documents with mixed text orientation.
  • Long email threads: quoted history below a cut-off point is left out of extraction.

Fixes

  • Emails containing emoji display correctly.
  • Tasks from Excel files keep their word wrapping.
  • Empty images no longer cause a task to fail.

Week of 11 August

Validation

  • Lookup list management: lookup lists gained these actions:
    • Clear data and clear translations separately.
    • Delete a list when nothing uses it.
    • Mark any column as the description column.
    • Import from a file.
    • Create and rename through dialogs, with row and column counts shown.
  • Save all translations: store every pending translation on a field in one action.
  • Multi-value lookup columns: matching on columns that hold several values is more reliable.

Integrations

  • Task API endpoints: public endpoints for the task lifecycle, documented under Tasks. Each action respects the task's status and sends the matching lifecycle event.

Import & document processing

  • Anonymiser languages: the anonymiser supports more languages.

Administration & access

Week of 18 August

Validation

Administration & access

  • Guest invites: invite people from outside the organisation to a specific scope without full membership.

Week of 25 August

Validation

  • Business Rules management: create, edit and delete rules in a redesigned editor.
  • Translations in autocomplete: translations are supported throughout the interface, including in the autocomplete field.

Interface

  • Connectors table: connectors are listed in a table.
  • Forward to another project: forward a task to a different project from the interface.

Fixes

  • Moving between tasks works reliably when tasks are added or removed during a session.
  • Reply-to sender whitelisting works again.
  • Very large HTML emails no longer stall the editor.
