November 2025
November introduced project versioning and connected Data Studio to live projects.
Highlights
Project versioning
A project's configuration is now versioned. You can create a version, view it and compare it with another, so you can see what a change to a field, template or model alters. A project can also pin its model to a specific version, so it keeps using that version until you choose to move on. Project environments, added in January, build on this.
Week of 3 November
AI & data
- Data Studio connected to models: sample sets now drive an extraction model, with paginated sample lists, sample navigation, deletion and a models list.
- Import a model into a project: a project can use a model trained in Data Studio without separate configuration.
Validation
- Semicolon time formats: times written with a semicolon are now recognised.
- Translation permission: adding a translation now requires the matching permission.
Interface
- Not found pages: tasks and uploads that no longer exist now show a not found page.
Fixes
- Default values on non-required lookup lists work again.
- Moving between processed tasks follows the correct order again.
Week of 10 November
AI & data
- Anonymisation and chunking in Data Studio: samples use the project's anonymisation and chunking settings.
- Model list details: the model list shows each model's objective and sample count.
Prediction & processing
- Task approval and training: approving a task adds its annotations to the training set, and the approval state stays in sync between the task and its sample.
Interface
- Newest search results first: search results default to newest first, matching the full results page.
- Deleted members hidden: project and team cards no longer show deleted members.
- Status filter kept: navigation keeps the status filter you were working in.
Fixes
- Connector lookups are less likely to time out.
- Labels at the very end of a file are now placed correctly.
Week of 17 November
Integrations
- Masked connector secrets: stored connector secrets are masked in the interface.
Export
- Failed exports shown: failed exports show clearly on the task and in the activity view.
Interface
- Zoom sync: zoom stays in sync across document panes.
- Re-upload behaviour: you can configure what happens when a document is uploaded again.
Configuration
- Project versioning: described above.
Fixes
- Data Studio errors now show a message, no longer a blank screen.
- Renaming folders works again.
- Signing in no longer bounces between pages.
- A connector's type can no longer be changed after it is created.
Week of 24 November
AI & data
- Model snapshots: capture a model's state as a snapshot and restore it later.
- Model settings: configure each model in the interface, including chunking and label prompts.
- Sample source task: each sample records the task it came from, so you can trace it back to its document.
Import & document processing
- File type detection: files with misleading extensions are detected more reliably.
Export
- Transform code editor: export transformations are edited in a code editor with syntax support.
Fixes
- Label settings in single-step and multi-step projects no longer affect each other.
